The Cevahir Brothers entered the construction business as early as 1959. Starting from 1976 they have been conducting their business within Turkey by the Cevahirler Commandite Company Partnership, a construction company which executes projects all types like housing, schools, hospitals, water and sewage networks, bridges, etc. Succesful and timely completion of given projects accelerated the speed of growth and consequently in 1975 the then newly formed "Construction and Trade Consortium for Libya, Inc. "was awarded its first contract in Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. This event marks the Group's debut in the outside world.

With the establishment of third company within the Group "Cevahirler Liability Partnership" in 1978, the contracting activities of the Group began in Saudi Arabia. This company took part as the managing partner in the establishment of the local construction company and completed significant projects in Saudi Arabia.

Cevahir Holding has been conducting its own projects since 1990. The holding has undertaken the contracting as well as the management of its investments mainly in the field of tourism sector. Cevahir Holding has realized all stages of its worldwide known projects including planning, investment and constructing, management and marketing by its own means.

Cevahir Holding continues its functions with 9 independent companies working in the fields of construction, tourism, investment, internal and external trade. In peak seasons the number of employees working st the sites of the Group was approximately 7000, including around 300 technical personnel.
